Galerie Gilbert Dufois is pleased to present "Après les lagons", a new solo exhibition by artist Ayline Olukman.
In this new series, Ayline Olukman imagines mysterious, sensual worlds where the human presence is intimately interwoven with natural elements, flora and fauna. Her imaginary environments invite us to rethink our relationship with living things.
Through her work, a veritable act of resistance in the face of eco-anxiety, Ayline Olukman celebrates the richness of inter-species relationships. "Après les lagons" is a poetic reflection of an ideal driven by the strength and beauty of nature - a power that envelops us, nourishes us and offers us the power of transformation.
Oscillating between memories and daydreams, her works capture fragments of imaginary islands, bursts of light and suspended moments, where colour becomes the stuff of memory. Using a vibrant palette, the artist blends painting, photography and writing to weave a dreamlike, deeply intimate universe.
True to her artistic approach, Ayline Olukman uses exoticism as a pretext for introspection: beyond the distant landscapes, her work questions what remains in us after the wonder.
